Grameena Patana Kendram (GPK) is a registered society under the Travancore–Cochin Charitable Societies Act, dedicated to grassroots development and participatory planning. Founded in 1998, inspired by Kerala’s People’s Plan Campaign (1996–2000), we have grown into a hub for research, education, and collaborative action that strengthens democratic processes and sustainable development.
Over the years, GPK has evolved into a key technical and knowledge-support institution for Local Self Government Institutions (LSGIs) across Kerala, focusing on GIS-based planning, watershed master plans, road connectivity mapping, riverbank studies and community-oriented training programmes.
Since 1998, Grameena Patana Kendram has been leading community-based rural research, planning, and development initiatives across Kerala.
